right last nite my belhousing decided to remove its self ffom the gearbox and then 30 mins later i lost all power flames started comeing out of my exhaust and back fireing and now seems to only run on three cylinders, after checking all eletrics it seem to have bent a inlet valve...........great...........about £50 to my name, no transport 2 work, 1 day to rebuild an engine and prob a gear box cos no dout its shreded the thred in the box and no money to do it...........fantastic.......... y me!!!!!!!!!!!!

i no mate it always happends to me!
it wod b a big help if u had a spare pinto engine all rebuilt and a spare type 9 gear box but as ur a vdub man im gussing maybe not? il just ave to strip it all down tomro and assess the damage, i still got a wk and a couple of days to get parts if i need them, so if i just get some people wishing me luck i shod be ok!

Go for it mate, Tain't only you I think Simons went pee-tong on the way to the Mod Nats or back from Newark? (can't remember) last year Think it's call Sods law in all it's glory. Ain't you got a Pinto slotted in that Eagle of yours  Catch you soon mate! If it all goes tits up I'll give you a lift to Donny S as a worst case scenario if you want. DjH |

lol i have already scavanged the propshaft and the gear box is the same but i have to stay strong i dont want to have half an eagle at the end of it all, if it dont go im towing the basturd there!

ITS FIXED
WE REPAIRED THE GEARBOX WITH SOME BOLTS OUT THE TOW BAR
THE CAM IS BUGGARD BUT AFTER SOME CAREFUL VALVE CLEARENCE ADJUSTING AND DRILLING OF OIL FEED PIPES IT RUNS, NOT AS FAST AS IT WAS B4 BUT ALL IS OK, I WILL HAVE TO SAVE UP THE £350 FOR A NEW CAM BUT FOR NOW DONNY HEAR WE COME!!!!!
AND A LITTLE NOTE FOR SIMON.........THE JACK DIDNT FALL SO IT WILL BE COSIE AT THE TENT OF LOVE!
