Well, didn't make it to the meet on monday cos my starter packed up good and proper on mon morning, So I thought righty O, wip it off and pop a new one on. OHH NO cant get them off the shelves have to be built from lucas or recon and return est: 2 weeks £100. So FOUR yep FOUR hours later it came off after having to remove the bonnet to get the truck under the ramp to use the ramp arms as a kinda block and tackle, Wrap a ratchet strap across the arms and around the crank shaft pulley, release both front engine mounts, lift engine about five inches, then completley remove drivers side engine mounting. Just so I could slide the starter back enough to get it out.

Managed to get it reconditioned at grimwoods electrical, Finally got it back in today all working well, great I thought truck sorted.....OHH NOOO on a closer inspection i noticed the water pump and alternater belt was twisted round twice on the pulleys, So of it came and a trip over to millfields found me another one, got back, got it on no prob, then when I was tensioning the alty to tighten the belt (big bar pulling on something sturdy???) I managed to push my lever bar through the rad hose from the water pump!!! So another trip over to millfieds and......nothing, they dont stock it, so over to designation where luckily they had some flexy pipe which i managed to fit with a bit of brute force and ignorance.

Anyway fingers crossed all is good now, for now.
