Wiring in the Tail / Stop lights my Dakar was playing tricks on me.
Right side - no issues,
Left side, wired in as per the wiring diagram, almost the same colours as the right, basically Green+Purple (Stop) to Green (Stop) / Red+Black (Tail) to Red (Tail)
But the bulbs worked opposite! The Stop filament came on instead of Tail and visa versa,
Checked all wiring and all OK as per the book
Got a friend to check, yes thats correct, "It must be that the light wire tails are wrong, thats what it is"
Re connected the lights as if the the light wire tails are wrong, Green+Purple (Stop) to Red (Tail) / Red+Black (Tail) to Green (Stop)
and guess what?
Same problem, the bulbs worked opposite, Stop filament came on instead of tail and visa versa.
How odd! is that! I swapped the leads that connect the filaments and it was still wrong but wrong in exactly the same way. (Yes I have a witness!)
I Though, "I know it must be the bulb,"
Changed one bulb for a know good one and...

Metered out all the wires and all as they should be
Loom: Green+Purple (Stop)
Loom: Red+Black (Tail)
Light: Green (Stop)
Light: Red (Tail)
This is just not physics.
Started again and connected everything up as per the book and guess what?
All worked as expected!
Work that one out?
Thank God I Had A Whiteness. I defiantly had wired it correctly the first time round so I'll remain confused forever, but glad I got there in the end. ;D
