Got the 28mm holes drilled today and fitted the rotating recovery shackles. The idea is that the tension on the recovery point is reduced because it can turn to suit the angle of pull.
I think they also look great. nex job is to reduce the length of the bumper overall to allow the wheels to approach obstacles directly for climbing over large rocks etc. Then a couple of coats of hammerite smooth to tidy it up.
The new ho;lesaw worked great, and did the job very quickly. I really thought it would be a bit of a nightmare but it was really an easy install for me. Next offroad day is 20th April back at Drumclog, Anyone local ish is welcome to come. Just give me a call on 07803 927 687.
The befor and after shows that i am getting things looking better, and more suited to my requirements.
