The good news is that my wee red jeep passed its MOT today, I am absolutely chuffed, this gave me the opportunity to go for a topless drive, due to an unseasonal sunny warm day. I now need to get a feel for how reliable the jeep will be longterm and finish off the offroad mods that I have planned. Lots tidy up work to do to the jeep , this is my mate measuring up,am going to buy a sheet of checker plate and reinforce the floors and back load space. But things are looking up now at least I can drive to the offroad events. Cheers

Thanks Jason and Muddy, I feel really good at getting this jeep back on the road.
I only drove about locally for an hour or so but from the waves and looks the jeep got it seems that people enjoy seeing these unusual vehicles go by, it makes a change from the euroboxes and posh 4x4 types that never get muddy .
I will defo get more muddy pics from the next offroad day, I will get my mate Dave that is in the photo to take some action shots for a change.
ironically my super reliable Defender 110 failed its MOT on Thursday!! Needs rear discs, pads, some brake lines and some welding. Also the tank has started weeping round the seams so more work to do there.
Still I cant wait to get my new extended shackles fitted, that will cheer me up.
All the best
