New member in Spain

Hi everyone, Peter Lee here, I live in Spain, just West of Marbella, those of you with Google earth it's 36 degrees 28'49.47"N and 5 degrees 1'3.79"W
The one with the sun shade on the roof second from bottom right.
I have lived there for four years and below is a small fully equipped garage currently filled with a Mercedes 190E 2.3-16v Cosworth with naff injection system, (dry injector lines???) and my SS on it's trailer/workbench.
I have had the car from new in 1995 and it has attended a few shows in 1997 -98 before yet aother rebuild and then moving to Spain in Sept' 1999 where I changed it to lefthand drive and another upgrade including vented disc and four pot calipers, rear discs and a souped up engind giving about 120bhp at 7,000, yeah 7,000 on a 1641cc flat four!

It used to look like this until the old adage of "rubbish increases to fill the space available".

I used to have a lock up in town and actually got more work done as I would disappear all Sunday and get some work done, never work at home, there is always something 'more important' to be done and as for the complaints about noise, smell and fumes from the misses, it just isn't a joke anymore.

Just need a bit more work on wheel arches and where the door handles have given away to open on command from alarm's disarm and then head lining, door panels and dash cover to 'finish' but as we know a kit car is never 'finished'.
If anyone has a VW based car I would be pleased to help on any technical question regarding VW stuff and VW engine tuning etc.

Just an update of my hellish of a collection of cars as I found it was cheaper to buy one than rent one for a couple of months AND pay for repairs rather than have time to do it myself for a fraction of the price and then resell the car.

Mercedes A170 auto box went and cost 1800€ to repair plus a months car rental 320€ only to start playing up 10 months later and after a FOC inspection finaly gave out 6 weeks after the warrenty with the primary clutch knackered which I hope to strip and replace myself as they are asking 3,200€ to fix it again! Screw them!
So I bought a cheap, slightly bent BMW E30 320i automatic saloon and replaced the left wing, front bumper, all four alloy wheels and tyres and a bit of intirior trim and it's now 100% original, nice car

Cossie 2.3-16v Merc is still dead as I got it running only to help someone jump their car burnt out the fuse box and ECU so slowly rebuilding that.

I also bought the misses an Opel Corsa 1994 14 si sport, nice little car and goes like stink!

Suzuki Burgman AN400X blew up it's engine at 70mph and cut the rear tyre in two with the broken conrod, change of underwear needed as it tried to kill me, a s/h motor off Ebay got me going again but only for a few days and the damm thing blew up again so s/h barrel plus a rebore to 425cc and Vertex o/s piston, s/h head cw valves etc and gaskets and on the way back up again and I will then sell the bloody thing before it does me in.

So five cars and a scooter and only two working, sounds normal
